Here’s What I Learned at Camp!!!
I just got home from a long weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I experienced Camp Coleman! I met David Coleman in January of this year and it was an instantaneous bond!! David and his Production team speak and entertain on college campuses. For those of us in the Metaphysical community they are teaching the ‘Indigo Children’…yes, they have grown up, now the ‘Indigos’ are our 18 to 30 years old. (for more info on Indigo children check out the book by the same name by Lee Carroll, http://tiny.cc/xctsfw) David took the time to personally invite me to his camp, so being the kind girl who loves to travel and meet people I decided to go!! Not really sure what was in it for me, I let go of expectations and decided to see how the Universe would unfold this experience!! Three days before the camp David called to say a spot came open to ‘Showcase’ would I like to speak! Of course I would love to speak!! Never thinking to myself ‘what’s a showcase?’. Anyway, David expressed ‘you have 9 minutes!’ Nine minutes, seriously, it takes me longer than 9 minutes to pluck my eyebrows, 9 minutes is nothing…….it wasn’t till later I learned the ‘showcase’ speakers on Saturday had 5 minutes and they did an amazing job!
Please understand, I don’t go to seminars or workshops ever…..but I jumped on a plane and headed to Ohio to speak, of course. Quickly after being there a very short time I realized how unfamiliar the territory was! I am used to speaking to groups who want to hear what I have to say, who have come just to speak to me and hear me speak. This group I am well, a nobody!! On top of that I learn, oh by the way, the crowd will critique my speech! I told David, ‘you didn’t tell me I would be critiqued’, he answered ‘your a psychic you should know these things!’………It drives me crazy when people think psychics ‘know everything’, if that was the case I would have certainly taken my lottery winnings and be on a beach in Mexico. Some things you just don’t know! Hmmmmm, so interesting!! I was feeling off balance or perhaps it was the 5.5 inch heels I had on and the fact that this old refurbished building had an uneven floor, sadly no it was me. I spoke, not my brightest and shiniest performance and had my ‘critique’. I took a deep breathe and realized time to step back and observe, find out what I could learn and why I was there! Here is what I learned this weekend!!
THIS IS WHAT I TALKED ABOUT AND WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE…….Each and everyone of us is unique and extraordinary!!! No one has your exact DNA combo, your astrological alignment, you experiences or your view of the world!! You come here to Earth with a list of opportunities, circumstances, hardships, decisions to make, it is your journey. No one can do it like you can or learn what you can learn……. As part of my critique I was told I should let people know about myself, so here goes…..I was raised in a sexually, physically and emotionally abusive childhood. Mother was a manic depressive, bi-polar, Father was a pedophile!! As a child I chose to survive by being invisible! I was a ‘good’ little girl in hopes that no one would notice me…sadly that didn’t work!! I never had a voice because I was invisible and in constant fear that I would be noticed and beaten or abused. I grew up with no idea how to make a decision and I knew that if something good happened it would truly be followed by punishment or something bad!! I married a man just like my Father, of course I did!!! This is my journey and I made it from invisible to Goddess!! I am unique and extraordinary!!!
WHAT I SAW…….this camp brought together so many amazing extraordinary people!! Everyone has a story!! Its what you do with that story that counts!! I was blown away by the ‘stories’ and the amazing triumphs! Whether the ‘experienced’ speakers or those who are working their way there, the empowerment was so uplifting!! The inspiration from seeing people take their path of seemingly negative experiences and turning them into joy, well, that for me was priceless!!
WHAT I SPOKE ON AND KNOW TO BE TRUE!…..Everything is energy!! We create our lives with our thoughts, we attract to us according to our beliefs! Quantum Physics, Wayne Dyer said “When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change”. Change your thoughts and you change your life, we are forever manifesting, creating with our thoughts!! My first experience with manifesting and I had no clue that was what I was doing….I was separated from my first husband, yes, he left me….. in my despair I decided to make a list of the qualities I wanted in a man, I certainly knew what I didn’t want, so this would be easy!! I had my list right down to what he would look like, tall, dark and handsome, of course, but someone who would think he was the luckiest man in the world to be with me, I would be loved and adored!! My girlfriend said ‘you’ll never find that!’. Three months later we had our first date, three weeks later he said he had been waiting for me his whole life and 28 years later we are blissfully happy…….yes this stuff works………..
WHAT I HEARD AND SAW!………I am fairly certain that most of these people probably were not familiar with the concept of ‘Law of Attraction”, perhaps had heard of it but……..however it never stopped them from manifesting in their own lives. I heard story after story of moving forward under seemingly impossible situations and taking the ‘lemons’ and turning them into ‘lemonade’!! Matt was born without any legs and as he says ‘everything else is fine!’ Matt shared a part of his story, that I would like to share, forgive me Matt if I screw anything up…….His girlfriend in college had just broken up with him. He was quite depressed and sad as any of us would be. His sadness carried on he then decided (actually as I recall he was ‘told’, you know that voice in our heads, I like to think its our Angels) to write his future wife a love letter. Matt didn’t have a wife at that time but it seems he had no doubts she would be in his life, so he wrote his love letter to her!!! Shannon, his lovely, talented wife, read that love letter to us!!! Do you think that Matt knew he was manifesting with his positive thoughts, do you think at that time that he had even heard of the Law of Attraction!? Was there a class he took that said ‘here create your life this way’? Nope, he was tapped into his connection to Source ( whatever you may choose to call that Source, many do call it God), the natural spiritual part of us that instinctively knows hold on to the dream!! Of course this stuff works!!! I have never seen two happier people!!
WHAT I TEACH AND WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE!………… The Universe (God) will rise up to meet and support you when you follow your joy! Find the passion of your heart and synchronicity will be created to get you exactly that!! The wonderful man I manifested (he says he manifested me, go figure) and I started living together right after we met, it scared me to death but I did it. After a period of time of this lovely peaceful life, which I was not used to at all, deep depression set in for me, this was the first of 2 emotional collapses in my 30′s. I was neurotic, OCD, depressed, chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma, sick all the time!! This man gave me a wonderful safe place to collaspe ( total love and acceptance whether I was crying in a fetal position or standing on the mountain ready to conquer the world). The years of abuse, I didn’t even know the full scale of it all at that time…I had no memories before the age of 10, came crashing down and pushed me forward to find a way to heal…..and the Universe brought me what I needed ( the full story is in my book 8 Keys: A Special Delivery Message from the Angels)
WHAT I SAW………..Person after person, who took their experiences and found passion…the stories of the journey each took and the opportunities that opened up coincidentally ( in Greek language that word means 2 things that coincide!). Did they know ‘I’ll just follow my heart and God will open the doors’? Were they taught that somewhere…or is it our natural state to be positive, is it our connection to the most powerful energy in the Universe that for some its is just the only way they can go, forward. In viewing so many wonderful speakers whose passion has opened doors for them to excel and be in their bliss, I am blown away and my view of our world just got better!! You all inspired me!!
David Coleman, well done!! You took your journey turned it into your joy, set your boundaries and created!! Did you know about all that I teach specifically? You and I do the same thing but in very different ways and it all works!! Somehow through your heart center you knew what worked and through your heart you inspire others. Your energy gives others permission to grow, set boundaries and flourish. You create a safe environment for others to step outside their comfort zone and discover who they really are so they too can find their joy!! You do this with integrity and that energy attracts those with integrity to you!! The Universe will always rise up to meet and validate you, I couldn’t be more impressed!!
I experienced a bit of heaven this weekend, I would love to name you all, all those I shook hands with and hugged, all those I sat next to and those who put up with my restlessness ……those of you who observed as I did, your smiles…I can’t name you all but I thank you for giving me a slice of heaven!!
Years ago on my spiritual journey each day was like a sponge wanting to know more and remember more of who I really was. I was ‘working at getting it’! I was reading, meditating, doing affirmations, practicing …..working, climbing that mountain of enlightenment. One day I had an ‘aha’ moment, I love those!! I couldn’t wait to share with my husband, all that work and I ‘got it’. So I regurgitated the whole story and my triumph of the moment. My husband said in a way only he can, ” Oh yeah, I got that the other day while I was fishing”……
Each of us has our journey and when we ask we shall receive….you may not get it my way or from my book…..you may not even know you are asking……the statement that started it all for me as I cried out in frustration “There must be more to life than this”…. that statement went out to God, Angels, Source…and my journey took a turn and it worked for me. Bless the journey you are on. You are unique and extraordinary, and as my friend Andrew says “Living the dream!” Whatever you need will come to you, in whatever way works for you!! It’s what I know, even more clearly now, to be true!!!
